FAQs

  • The initial appointment is treated as an initial consultation. The initial consultation hour is an opportunity to discuss presenting issues you would like to address in therapy, as well as begin to review relevant details that bring you into therapy. While we might not roll our sleeves up all the way in the first assessment, we’ll discuss what you are experiencing, and begin the process of learning more about how therapy can support you while getting a mutual sense of goodness of fit.

  • Please reach out to me via the contact form to initiate scheduling, as well as any other questions you would like to discuss in the process.

  • Yes, I offer remote appointments on a HIPAA compliant video platform for your confidentiality.

I also offer in-person appointments. As of Spring 2025, I have limited availability for in-person appointments & can place you on a waitlist.

  • As you initiate therapy, weekly appointments are recommended. This affords an opportunity to foster a working relationship together and also gain some momentum in addressing the topics that bring you into therapy. Bi-weekly appointments are available, and frequency of meetings are assessed throughout the course of treatment based on needs.

  • I am happy to go over any questions you have prior to scheduling, however I do not offer 15 minute consultations. I find that brief introductory style consultations do not offer enough time to get a sense for goodness of fit, while placing pressure on the therapist to “sell themself”, in a consumerist culture.

Instead, I offer an initial appointment to meet and see if we are a good fit. This encourages and affords a more thorough introduction as well as greater mutual investment during the initial on-boarding stages of therapy.

  • I accept all major credit cards, as well as most HSA & FSA cards.

  • Yes, I do offer a select few lowered rates for appointments based on need.
